"The Waiting.....and Waiting Some More"

We are almost sure that we are maybe pretty close to getting our date to travel.  How is that for specific?  I have been holding off posting something until I had some definite dates to share, but we are finding out that until we hear back from the Ukraine that we are "invited" to travel, we are just waiting.

What I do know, is that the coordinator has chosen 2 or 3 orphanages for us to visit that have little girls with D.S. in our age range.  She is waiting to get the "appointment date" from the government and then have us come a few days before to choose our daughter.  We have lots of mixed feelings about meeting different little girls and knowing that only one will be leaving the orphanage with us.  Not being able to know the fate of the others is heartbreaking.

There is another family with our agency that is now in the Ukraine adopting a child that was about a month ahead of us with their paperwork.   Going on that fact, and assuming all our paperwork is correct, we hope to be traveling towards the end of February.  We are still working hard to raise money for the adoption, which we are still $10,000+ in need of funding.  We know that God will provide a way....we just have no idea right now how He will do it.

The last few weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions for us both.  I've been blessed every morning during my daily devotional time, with God providing me strength and encouragement.  One of the many verses that have jumped off of the page as never before was:
Joshua 1:9  Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
(Even if you go half way across the world to the Ukraine;-)
